two weeks. two long, 6 in the morning til 9 at night long weeks. i wonder, how long can a normal person be worked at this speed and not break down. the tempo is still remarkbly high for being drawn out so long. amazing. very amazing. now that we’ve went from mach 3 to mach 1 in working power, they are starting to find little mistakes that anyone would make in a fast pace enviroment where you have the idea that 60% of a battalion ( 1500 Marines in my battalion ) is going to leave in a few days. well that few days have now turn into a few weeks and that 60% is bouncing from day to day. 11 marines from my shop were told to pack you bags over-night, your going to leave soon! now they are being told, opps, you might not even go. some left, some left to another base and are on stand-by, some left, got on a plane and were told to get off to go back to stand-by. great huh? well the fatigue is starting to set in. i’m getting sick, and very tired. its funny how they made this look. i mean, we could have gotten ready and left the rock in less then 48 hours with 60% of the battalion on C-140s rolling out to render aid, but now look at us. i blame no one, i just like to say, higher ups just didn’t know how ready they would be or should have been. in any case, i’m just now hoping that either we get the word that “no, you all are now not going due to you readiness level being so low” or “ok, you all can go due to your outstanding performances in past operations and excercies” oh yea, i gave Hiromi her christmas gift. the original french version of Taxi. its a good flick and shes in love with the star guy in the movie. it was nice to see her happy. sigh. all i want is happiness. gosh, i’m such a mess you know? oh well, time to head home only to come back and have my promised half-day FUCKED. nice ‘eh? holla.
