Festival
Kinser Festival. the abundance of showers that are expected in these humid months of Okinawa put a damper on the plans of the original date and drew some unexpected problems. to begin, the bands that were appointed to play somehow didn’t plan to get reappointed and so only a few local bands were able to play while the others had other gigs or were out of country. still, the ones that did manage to show up at the event were quite amazing and had no problem putting on a good show for the crowd. of course the military had to also make a scene and show off some toys.

the helo had a very beefy aroma to it. kind of like how a bunch of shirts drenched with sweat that were left out in the sun under a tent. the smell seem to irk me in a way that my nose wanted to take a quick vacation to some field of flowers rather then be burned by the oozy stench. i put up with it just for the sake that i was trying to show my tough side. it could be worse…

yes sir, good family fun. nothing like getting behind the powerful MK-19 gernade launcher. well in all and all, it was great to have to pay 10 dollars for a mean and 3 dollars for a cup of beer and who can forget the fantastic prices of the games? only 3 dollars for a 50 cent prize!! no wait, play twice, and win both times and pay 3 dollars again to get a 3 dollar doll! yes, it wouldn’t be the same without the carni-folk there to screw with your wallet. i didn’t bother to play any games, after all, Japan has pachinko!
