i’m here to talk about blogging. at least in my eyes and about me blogging. i’ve been blogging since late 2003. probably early but before that time, it was more of me just writing updates and having content up, ie: media, music, funnies, and etc. in the early stages of my writing, i didn’t really take it serious and i kind of really, didn’t blog. i just wrote about what was happening in my life. i thought that is what a blog was about. but i guess the meaning has changed. now blogs are people writing about web related issues, or the latest technology buzz, or even just subscribing to news websites and just reposting what you read and giving your two cents. nothing wrong with any of the above mentioned, i mean, hey, i try to accomplish each and every one of those above. but i seem to break off somewhere different. i figure its my lack of knowledge, my allotted time to my blog, and poor skills with writing. i just ain’t wity like the great bloggers, like Jason Kottke and Greg Storey and i don’t have a degree or a high school diploma. the best i got is what i show in FORCED writing materials & reports. i make due with what i got in my head and what i experiance in life.
so yes, i have very few readers that actully keep up with my website/blog, but i’m happy. i know how to get hits, that isn’t the problem. but i ain’t trying to get hits. i’m just trying to publish my thoughts and my events and my intake of what i recieve from the internet. i simply can’t keep up-to-date like many other bloggers. people go to a website and read and if they like it, they’ll come back. and if it isn’t updated, the chances of them coming back again are slimmer. if they come back and fresh content is there, a new visitor might just be born. and i lack that. i lack the attention getting or the up-to-dateness that the others have. readers…i’m sorry.
yea, but this all started when i read a comment at 9rules’s post about the 2nd submission to their blogging network. a Ryan Latham commented on how he was “looking forward to getting rejected again.” and after looking and reading his blog, i wondered why? its great in everyway and i enjoyed how easy it was on the eyes and on the brain. i think i’ll bookmark him and get his feed. and thats it. he got me. a reader. not hard huh? not hard at all.
