I really like this song…the lyrics are great and I think its something about the way Wyclef sings it. I just like to listen to it to chill out.

I saw this performed on Chappelle Show. I honestly thought it was a damn skit due to the elementary quality of the lyrics…not to mention the black oppression message left unsaid but reeking throughout. Rather than devoting creative energy to “Fight The Power”…AKA: WHITEY…That white devil…Wyclef should donate some cash to his ghetto causes and quit fucking whining.
BTW! Thank you for defending the freedoms which allow me to voice my opinion and feel protected in the greatest country on earth.

great song. lyrics aside, it’s a good song. one of the few Creole 101 i REALLY like. i’ve just downloaded the video.
the video, along with the audio version i’ve always had, read another lyrics different than yours. i didn’t know about this slightly different version of the song, and nearly every single lyrics page that includes President in their databases has your version. it shocked me.

This version was on the popular Dave Chappelle Show. I heard the other version and I have it somewhere too, but there was something about this version. You are Haitian?
