Alright, so if waiting for a week and a half for cable tv and internet isn’t enough because the cable company “hardly comes up [there]” to Camp Hansen for installation, we got it yesterday evening. My roommate and I were pretty excited because we’ve waited awhile for it. Ok, now we did this knowing we’d have to change rooms once these people moved out of their old rooms and everything was going to get topsie turby in the barracks. They want section integrity meaning each work section would be living with and next to each other. Well, we are somewhere around half way to the right hallway right now, room 313. The very day we find out that we have cable is the same day we have to move. Isn’t that something? Now, this move, thank goodness, isn’t from this floor to another, its just down a ways. But its down, all the other way. All the way. You gotta love it!
We called and I think we are going to get it changed to our nu and hopefully FINAL room sometime Friday or Monday. In the meantime, I think I’ll work on the podcast. I have no idea where to start, what to do, or anything. I remember Kristin gave me a link to some podcasting plugin for wordpress, hmm…I guess now I have to search for it.
I just noticed the date too, 12th. You know what that means huh? The 15th is just around the corner. This means payday…and this payday is special because I will have saved up all the money I need for a special something
What could it be? haha! Shopping time! Oh, and speaking of shopping, I got my Gucci shades. They look nice. Can’t wait to hit the spots and sport them. Now, time for shoes, three of them. Then, some leather sandals, a nice suit or two and I’m done for awhile. Yea, I like dressing up alot.
And for you Japan visitors, if you haven’t already read, Gerald over at Goyablog is blogging and photographying about his trip to Japan. Lots of interesting stuff. I really like the bit on The Old Man of Shibuya. Here in Oki, we have alot of older people around and I find them quite interesting. They differ so much from the elderly over in the States. Their language is different then everyone elses, they are quite fit and live longer because they maintain a busy running schedule in their life. I see lots of them together sometimes in some restaurants and see how they talk and act with each other. I also notice that they notice me. I wonder what they think of me. What they think of Americans. What they think of Marines. Thats just my luck…being a Marine in a place where Marines are notorious for crimes and “incidents.” Fucking jarheads.
