Top 5 ways to stay awake!
Do you oversleep? Are you tired of not being tired when going to bed? Do you get under the covers, only to get out of them to finish something you started? Then you suffer from Good Rest & Planning Ahead!
With my 5 easy steps, you could be falling asleep quickly after 3 in the morning, finishing projects that could wait til tommarow, and getting into the sheets and staying there, reguardless if you need to get up for work in the morning.
1. Drink lots of soda!
There is nothing better to get that extra boost of useless energy via caffeine filled aluminum. We have the Dew and Dr. Pepper, but if you really want to reach 2 in the morning, your going to need the teeth deteriating goodness of the -cola brothers, Coke and Jolt Cola.
2. Play action games or RPGs!
World of Warcraft is probably one of the biggest causes of tardiness in the college level of workers because there is always something that needs to be done. Games that require you to give them full attention tend to keep you awake longer then games were you can pause and leave. Counter-Strike is the game I use to shun my bed for a few more hours a night. Head over to the store and purchase these if haven’t already and get hooked!
3. Leave the TV on!
In every house were someone is awake, in every building were someone has to stay back and guard something, in every dorm were someone is playing and chatting online TV is there. I perfer the old comedy shows that have been long taken off the air. The faker the audience, the better. A lit TV gives a feel of requirement to staying awake mainly because if you ever get seperated or distracted from what you are focusing on, the TV will give you another means of focus draining, much like the computer! Which brings us to our next step…
4. Surf the web!
If there was ever a greater invention to stay up and be late for work, I haven’t seen it. The internet will soak your time so fast, and make it seem likes a few minutes without even breaking a sweat. Make a webpage, chat with friends, search for singles, read a blog or download something entertaining. The possibilities are endless!
5. Don’t plan ahead!
Finally, for you folks who plan ahead for the evening, don’t. If you have a plan, you’ll finish everything you need to in a timely manner and leave no room for error! We can’t have this if we want to go to wake up the next morning with bags under our eyes. Leave things to do that you know NEED to be taken care of before the next morning. Leave your uniform undone, don’t finish folding your clothes, and just write the first sentence to your 5 page homework assignment.

These methods aren’t guaranteed to work, but they are guarantee to have some effect of you weather it be be staying awake longer or falling asleep faster or just screwing up your plan for the evening.
