A new exploit hit for MyBlogLog. I won’t release any information because it is just too simple and stupid but this lead me to believe that there is much more I can do. So, I plan to.
Web 2.0 is nice. Umm…was nice. Now it is getting out of hand and I am starting to see a trend of useless apps being created. Twitter and MyBlogLog are the most recently and useless. It’s something about having to stop what you’re doing, use your phone to e-mail what you’re doing to some server and have it displayed on your website that just irks me. I have a feeling in my gut that tells me that this service will somehow be intergraded into MySpace and that would lead to my deactivation of my account there. Digg spamming got my upset and I quickly deleted my account. I think sometimes about coming back to it, but I haven’t seen a good reason to.
You have to put things like that on a scale of usability. What good comes from people know what I am doing? Why display who has visited my website? And do I care? I throw it all onto a scale to see if its pros outweigh its cons. No reason to make another account out there for no reason then track it with claimID or OpenID. Sheit…fuck that.
Plus, doing reconnaissance on MyBlogLog and its servers has re-opened my old security itch. I purchased a cheap, well, $800 cheap AMD box and plan on throwing slack or debian on there. It ain’t slow either so I can’t wait to try out a few hash breakers on it. It has been awhile since I messed with Linux so I’ll of course enter the script kiddy stage before I go full blown into making my own scripts and spl0it hunting. I await my 50 Mbps line from YahooBB. The funny thing is that, this line enables me to do some nasty, naughty things when it comes to DoS attacks. But I ain’t evil…..or am I?
