Sergeant

Oh, I forgot to post about this, but I am now a E-5 in the Marine Corps. I am the top NCO rank. I am the final connection between junior NCOs and non-NCOs and the Staff. I am a Sergeant. This was my goal. To become this rank in the Marine Corps. See, in the [...]

Coming Home

My time in South Korea is coming to an end and I will be returning home shortly. It is again, another blessed homecoming becuase being away from family for six months is no joke. For my wife, this is no different then when I was sent to Iraq, minus the danger. Well, for me, this [...]

Bottle Number Three

Bottle Number Three,
Your so close to me.
Before you came one,
it was semi-fun.
And two was there as well,
because I wasn’t yet in hell.
Even with my speech a slur,
I could still say ‘I miss her.‘

You are so close to me.

Nicholas Walking

Money

Money is always the talk at the dinner table with families. Even more so now; prices of everything on the rise so much. I remember when I was a kid, my father, brother and myself would be driving to Mexico from San Antonio ( a 3 hour drive ). We would see a gas station for .99 cents. We all look at each other and think, we can do better. 98 cent would come up, nah, something lower is out there. .97 and .96 and even one time I believe we saw a small town offering a .95 cent price. The next one would cup up .97 and we’d be a bit bummed out but we kept hoping for it as our gas tank ran low. Damn! .98 cents. I knew we should have stopped at the .95 cent one!

WKD 3

flickr: Last WKD
Unfortunately this will be the last of the WKD feature that I served here for the past three weeks. Due to some….restrictions, I can’t really provide a full spectrum of photos for my viewers. Its not that I don’t like showing pictures of my boy, but I wanted to get a more broad [...]
